Robert Koelsch, Ph.D.
& Ron Koelsch
Co-Founders & Inventors of SolarTechTRU
From semiconductors to semi-trailers, AEM founders Ronald and Robert Koelsch have been engineering innovative products and building specialized business relationships for over thirty years.
AEM combines years of education and experience in engineering, science, industry, sales, marketing and business management with patented technology to provide customers with engineering feats that lives depend on, products and equipment that are cost-effective, and commercially viable.
Robert comes with 25 years in the semiconductor industry leading the engineering and commercialization of groundbreaking developments involving LED technology. Robert has also designed and implemented manufacturing processes for companies such as Intel and Motorola using plasma physics to analyze efficient manufacturing techniques for products like the Pentium chip. This has resulted in his involvement in several high-profile patents. It comes natural to Robert to analyze complex data, achieve unprecedented yields, and to innovate commercially viable products that shake up industries, and that set new standards.
Inventor - Pilot - Businessman
Industry Disruptor/Innovator
Keynote Speaker, ESG & Zero Emissions Specialist
2022 & 2023 Alternative Energy Professional of the Year
For more than 10 years, Robert and his co-founder have been working diligently to develop a solar, all-electric transportation refrigeration units (TRUs) that helps the cold chain industry’s semi-trailer reefers achieve zero emissions while eliminating fatal electrocution dangers, and fears such as range anxiety. AEM’s proprietary and patent-protected TRU is the only zero emissions solution of its kind in the industry, and it’s indeed setting new standards for ridiculously safe and reliable refrigerated transportation, and for solar electric efficiencies.

Robert Koelsch dominated the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2023 with their proven zero emissions SolarTechTRU that cracked the code on efficiency and safety for TRUs.
Ron was a Principal Engineer at Honeywell and Ford Motor Company during the era of electronics entering the automotive industry. He built the first semiconductor manufacturing facility for automotive sensors. Ron established the first company to combine the design of application specific semiconductors with advanced manufacturing processes at the big three automotive companies.
Ron founded the company which built the circuitry for the first air bags deployed. He then helped introduce advanced technology in Atomic Layer Deposition and Advanced Hi Energy Ion Implantation machines at the leading semiconductor chip manufacturing facilities around the world. This expertise and discipline has led up to the creation of AEM’s SolarTechTRU – a TRU-ly revolutionary zero emissions power system for the cold chain industry.
